Before creating transfers using the External Features, you will first need to add an account in External Transfers in your Personal Online & Mobile Banking account. You can add an account in desktop online banking or Republic Bank app experience.  


You must be the owner of the account you would like to add in External Transfers. To add your account successfully, please have your external account routing and account number handy.



1. To add an account in External Transfers in the desktop online banking experience, log into your online banking account and hover over the Move Money menu, then select External Transfers.


2. To get started in the External Transfers feature, select ‘Add a New Account’ on the Funds Transfer landing page.



You can also select Accounts tab on the External Transfer menu and select +Add Accounts on the bottom right corner under My Other Accounts.


3. The Add External Account page will appear on the right side of your screen. You can then select your account type in the Account-Type drop-down menu.

 

You may add a checking, savings, money market checking, money market savings, or a brokerage account type. The account type must be able to accept debits and credits.




Nickname your external account if you wish to do so and scroll down the Add External Accounts page.


4. Have your account and routing number handy.

Enter your external account routing and account number. You will need to re-enter your account number a second time to verify it is correct.

If your account and routing number are correct, External Transfers will detect your external account financial institution. 

Select Next.

  1. accepts credits and debits successfully.

Some financial institutions allow you to verify instantly by logging into your external bank account from the External Transfers feature.  


Tap “Verify Instantly” to enter your external bank account username and password.  

 

If your external account displays an error message, you may need to use the bank deposit method of verification. All financial institutions have the option to verify your account with small bank deposits to your external bank account in 1-3 business days. You can learn how to verify with bank deposits by clicking here.
