If you have visited Card Alerts & Controls and your phone number appears to be missing or needs to be updated in the SMS Text Alerts delivery option, you will need to activate your mobile number in the Account Alerts & Notifications feature to turn ON SMS Text Alerts to begin receiving real-time card alerts when your Republic Bank credit or debit card is used.
You will need to access Account Alerts & Notifications in online desktop at RepublicBank.com and access your alert settings. If you are in the app, you can access our website by visiting the More menu, tap Contact Us, then tap Visit RepublicBank.com in the navigation to log in using your device's mobile browser.
To enroll your mobile number to receive account alerts as SMS text messages, mobile carriers require Republic Bank to confirm that you wish to receive text messages from us.
1. Select "Notifications" in the top right menu. Your mobile browser will present a bell icon and desktop online banking will present "Notifications."
2. Select "Settings" on the bottom of the Notification menu.
3. To enroll your mobile number to receive account alerts as SMS text messages, mobile carriers require Republic Bank to confirm that you wish to receive text messages from us. Add your mobile number in the text box and select "Activate" under "Text message alerts are sent to."
4. Enter the code you received as SMS text message from 45-45-45 to your mobile device you have added to activate for the service. Read the terms and select "Accept" to agree to the Mobile Verification Agreement.
5. If the code entered is correct and you have Accepted the Mobile Verification Agreement, you will receive a yellow confirmation message that you are now enrolled for Account Alerts & Notifications.
Now that you are enrolled for Account Alerts & Notifications, you can turn ON SMS Text real-time Card Alerts.
Visit Manage Card Alerts & Controls on your My Accounts widget and select "Alert Delivery Options." You will then see that the phone number you activated in Account Alerts & Notifications is now populated in the Card Alerts & Controls feature. You can now toggle ON SMS Text for any of the cards in your card list to begin receiving instant alerts from Republic Bank's short code 4545-45 when your debit or credit card is used.
