You can use auto-capture, manual, or flash capabilities located in the top right corner of the image capture viewfinder screen to assist you with taking photos of your check.
Auto-Capture with No Flash
Tap “Auto” option to automatically take photos. The Mobile Deposit feature will automatically capture a photo of your check when your device is still and has the check in the viewfinder. Mobile Deposit will count down from 3 to automatically take the photo.
Auto-Capture with Flash
If you need more light, you can simply select the “lightning bolt A” icon to turn on the flash. The Mobile Deposit feature will the automatically take a photo of the check and use the flash function to add more light to the photo.
Manual with No Flash
If your device continues to restart the count-down for auto-capture, you do have the option to select the “Manual” setting to tap the screen and take the photo of your check.
Simply tap the “Manual” setting, align your check in the viewfinder, and when you’re ready, tap anywhere in the viewfinder to take a photo of your check.
Manual with Flash
Tap the “lightning bolt A” icon to turn on the flash. When you tap the screen to take the photo of your check, your device will use the flash function to brighten your check image. This is useful if there is not enough adequate light.
Simply tap the “Manual” setting and the “lightning bolt A” icon, align your check in the viewfinder, and when you’re ready, tap anywhere in the viewfinder to take a photo of your check.
Check Image Brightener
After you have taken the photo of your check you can also brighten the image with the slider in the bottom left corner of your check image. Moving the slider to the right brightens the check image, while moving the slider to the left will darken the check image.
